Shred It: Day 21

As you did not likely even think about it know, today is day 21, which means yesterday was my last day of Level 2 of the 30 Day Shred:

Just as the first day of Level 1 put my body into a death shock, day 1 of Level 2 did almost the same thing -- Mr. Realife was wondering what was going on when he walked in the house and heard an insane amount a little swearing from the living room --

By day 6/7 of Level 2 my body starting getting more and more used to it, but some of the moves are still weak for me -- I had really no idea how out of shape I really am was -- {side note: My ankles are sore... anyone else experience that?}

For me, this will not just be 30 days -- I want to redo the entire system once I finish so that I can really see some changes --

Right now I definitely feel "tighter" and my abs are way flatter, but other than that, I still don't feel too much of a difference in my clothes and I guess I'm feeling a little bummed about that... it's a lot of hard work, but it has only been 20 days --

OK, the 20 day results:

Day 1:

Waist:
31" Hips: 37" Thighs: 22.5

Day 10:

Waist: 30.5" Hips: 36.5" Thighs: 22"

Day 20:

Waist: 29" Hips: 36.5" Thighs: 21.5"

OK... I didn't realize until JUST NOW that I"d lost 2 inches on my waist since day 1 -- WHOA!!!

Hips... no change and I've lost an inch in my thighs --

OK... not too shabby, not sure what else I was expecting!!

I'm still doing the 30 day shred... even thought I've skipped the past 2 days. oops. I really like level 2. I tried level 3 once and it was SO HARD! I haven't seen a lot of change in my weight, but like you said, I feel better and my clothes are fitting better. I'm going to start No More Trouble Zones as soon as I'm back from vacation! I'll let you know how it goes!

What great results!! Very inspiring!! I keep starting the shred, but never make it past the first week...bad me...

BUT I have been going to the gym instead, I guess I like to "phone it in" haha :)

I was doing some Jillian dvd's at the gym, on a regular basis and I could not do certain parts, because it made my ankles hurt for DAYS! Ankles don't have muscles like legs, so I thought I should just leave the parts out that made my ankles hurt! Hurt like I have never felt before!

I am not telling you to wimp out, but I AM saying that I don't think "no pain, no gain" applies to ankles!

I've heard many people who have been on this particular weight loss challenge are successful. I applaud your effort and determination. It's never easy to lose weight, (the achy legs and arms, sacrificing the foods we love) but in the end you'll see it was worth it.

Just found your blog... I've started the 30 Day Shred and I'm on day 2. I'm uber sore and hoping for great results! I not only did the shred, I went for my normal 30 minute run/walk.

You are an inspiration! Keep it up and I will too!

My sister recently introduced me to the 30 day shred, let me tell you, I am so totally getting this video! I was only able to do level 1, but man was I sore!

I think you must have been in great shape already. I've lost about 6 lbs, since beginning the shred. I never measured myself though I probably should have. I just recently started over with level 1 and can you believe that I was sore from it, after 2 weeks doing level 3, I was shocked, but happy because that means each level works different muscle groups and I love that. Keep up the good work.
