Fall for Followers

*******************UPDATED: Seeing as I overlooked the small fact that today is Labor Day, I am postponing the winner until tomorrow :) If you're a follower, enter now!!!

HAPPY LABOR DAY !!!

Original Post:

It starts August 1st.

Which is ridiculous seeing as its the hottest month of the year.

Yet, I can't help it...

Visions of crisp blue skies, bright orange pumpkins, big yellow mums on porches and people in sweaters, jeans and boots. The feel of cool, clean air, the sight of bright red trees, the taste I don't have a sense of smell of hot apple pie and the sound of walking through fallen leaves.

Autumn

I live all year waiting for this season and it's right around the corner.

I told you I'd kick off my return with a giveaway and what a better way to celebrate my favorite season!?

If you've been following me for any length of time, you know I love photography -- I'm also starting a new challenge for myself {which of course will be blogged about later} and so this giveaway is very personal!

I'm giving away 3 of the following pictures {your choice}
framed in a black, 3 photo, matted frame {like this one :}
How to win:

I've been thinking over these last two weeks and have decided this giveaway is going to be exclusively for my followers. I love each of you simply for the fact that you read, comment, email, chat and enjoy the content of my blog!

So, really? How. do. I. win?

Answer me one question:
  • If the world stopped having seasons {that sounded very dramatic} tell me which season you'd want all year long and why?
That's it!

I'm totally celebrating you!

My amazing

awesome

wonderful

fabulous

followers!!

I will announce the winner Monday, Sept. 6th @ noon

Spring. Definitely Spring. It's just so promising and lovely. It has nothing to do with the fact that I was born then, *ahem*, it's just the best time of the year.

I LOVE the Fall. So so much. Especially in the Midwest, like, Michigan.

Fall. I'm from the South, and fall means that we'll finally get a break from the unbearable heat and humidity. I have never seen leaves change colors (they don't in texas. they just die) so now that I'm in Georgia I want to enjoy every single aspect that comes with it. I love Halloween, and fall decorations. I especially love pumpkins and decorating my house with them. I'm having trouble not bringing them out quite yet.

No doubt about it I would have to pick Fall since the Winters and Summers here in the MidWest are so extreme! Plus who doesn't love fall leaves! :)

p.s. Your photos are amazing!

Spring! Definitely Spring! I love the new, bright flowers and the nice fresh air! Plus, it's not too cold and not too hot! It's also when everyone starts to do Spring Cleaning..which, sadly, excites me! LOL

I'm gonna have to vote for fall. Or spring. Let's just call it a toss up, because these are the 2 best seasons.

Welcome back!

I think I'd pick fall ... great weather for running, but not too cold (that's relative -- I'm in Florida). Football is on TV and apples are plentiful.

Fall....the perfect weather, beautiful leaves, and love me some fall decorations!

Definitely Spring! The return of new life, the beauty of all of the colors after a stark winter, the warmth of the sun on your skin, opening up the house to fresh air that doesn't turn you into an ice cube, the excitement of watching things sprout and bloom...Oh, glorious Spring! :)

I love these pictures, Anna! :)

Fall is by far my favorite. I love the crisp weather, being able to wear a sweatshirt and jeans, college football games, pumpkin spice lattes, Thanksgiving dinner, changing leaves, sunflowers, snuggling under a down blanket with my husband, cuddling in general without sweating to death (!), boots, fall clothes, and everything else that comes with this beautiful season. Including my wedding anniversary on November 8th! :)

Spring. Warm enough to be outside, cool enough that I'm not dying of heat!

Love,

I would love for it to be Fall all year around. It is my favorite season by far!

Welcome back! I missed you and your blog!! (and your tweets!)

If I had to pick, I would say Spring because it's not too hot and not too cold but mostly because it's a great time for renewal!

I love lighthouses. Where is this one? Very cool photos. You have a good eye. Hmmm, while I'm super happy that Fall is falling upon us in a few weeks I have to say, because I like beginnings rather than endings (well, most of the time) that Spring is my favorite season and one I wouldn't mind having year round, should it come to that.

Fall is my favourite, without a doubt. I love going for a walk bundled in a warm sweater and having my nose turn rosy red. I love eating fall foods, smelling fall smells and seeing fall colours. Everything about it is wonderful. Welcome back!

haha...if the world suddenly stopped changing seasons...kind is like that here in the desert! we have cool, warm and ohmygodthisheatcouldkillme-warm. we wear flip flops and a light sweater all winter long. soooooo, when i say i want spring all year long it may look like YOUR summer, you know? 85 degrees. warm in the sun, cool in the shade, evenings cool off but NOT cold. we don't like any sort of shivering! i wear scarves alot in the winter & spring. i love that part! plus, i don't have to worrry about my outdoor plants croaking from too much cold or too much heat. don't have to use the a/c or heater. every day is fresh and so invigorating! spring is juuuuuuust fine with me! fall is nice but my feet get too cold!

it's so nice to have you back! i've been bored without you. ;) hope all is well.

Mmm...spring & fall are a toss up, but I think that Spring wins out in the end. I just love all the smells that come with Spring & the sounds of the lawnmower firing up for the first time, or birds chirping in the morning. After a long cold winter, Spring is always so refreshing!

Glad you're back!

What a fun giveaway! Definitely Fall!

Can't wait to hear about your challenge.

And, it's a toss up, but I think Spring because it isn't as humid!

Jenny Rose said...

Fall, fall, fall! All the way! I love everything about it! The weather, colors, smells, holidays (including my birthday! ha!)- everything! I would be just fine with it being one season year round! lol!

I would want to have Fall all year round. To me, when I smell the crisp air and see leaves blowing in the sidewalk, it makes me feel warmth and comfort. I love that I can snuggle up in a sweater.

But most important, I feel when Fall hits, it's a new beginning for yet another exciting year and a reminder to live life to the fullest.

And of course the fact that I can have hot chocolate all the time along with apple pie!

Just Add Walter said...

definitely the fall!! I love hot apple sider and pumpkins and hay and all the cute sweaters and scarves..... LOVE IT!!!

and welcome back!! we've missed you!

Growing in the mountains, Fall has always been my favorite. When I began walking/running several years ago, it was still winter and I ran at a park that just came alive in the Spring. Then, I continued training through the Summer and I guess my body for the first time was acclimated to the heat and I wasn't a miserable mess all season. Then I discovered that Winter is truly the best season of all to run (at least in the South) as I can run freely without all the effects of humidity and heat. So, long answer is that Fall is still my favorite (if I don't have to rake leaves!) but there is new meaning to all for me. I have a feeling that an April wedding may cause answering this question to be even more difficult in the future. :-)

I couldn't live without Fall:
1. Football Season begins
2. Crisp air and cool breezes
3. Thanksgiving and Tailgating
4. Football Season starts
5. Lightweight sweaters
6. Pumpkin patches
7. Christmas shopping in high gear
8. Football Season begins
9. I can hide my "fluff" under longer tops with sleeves
10. Football Season begins!

I think I'd have to go with Autumn because it's still really warm, with a little nip of cool in the air. Warm enough not to have to wear winter clothes, but cool enough to throw a sweater or jacket on to keep warm!

Ms. Salti said...

By the way, I'm sooooo happy to have you back!

I love this giveaway and those photos are truly awesome. Any of them would look wonderful in the frame.

I love fall (it is my favorite), but if I had to have one season forever I would say summer just because I can go to the beach and swim.

Too cool. I just did a post on how much I love September and Fall season. I go NUTS with decorating. I actually went as far as trying to find a place to move to where I could have Fall weather all year long. hee hee
