NOT ME MONDAY!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week!

I didn't post last week due to the sobriety I felt with Stellan's heart condition. Shockingly, his heart is not getting better. Prayers for Stellan are literally world wide. If you need a good Monday Morning lift, I encourage you to click here.

I, for one, needed a pick-me-up, So... without further ado...

NOT ME MONDAY!

I love a warm towel after my shower. I like to take the towel off the rack and put it on the floor in front of the vent so when it comes on, it heats the towel up and voila! I've got a cozy and warm towel to dry off with. Sometimes I bring Elly in the bathroom with me to babysit her whilst I shower and I just so happened to do that Friday. Apparently she liked the warm towel too, because she peed on it. I did not dry my entire body with the towel and then realize there was a large, yellow wet spot dead in the middle of the towel. I did not proceed to get back in the shower and rewash e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. -- NOT ME! Oh... and to add -- D did not say, I told ya you should get one of those towel warming stands -- Not D -- He would never say something like that... :)

I have not turned callous about the reality of farm animals. When I first met the beagles and saw they were left outside in a {large} pen, I was not appalled. When I learned that our German Shepard had merely a barn to sleep in on cold winter nights, I was not so sad for him. When we got our chickens, I did not cringe at the idea that we had to leave them out in their coupe, even when there was a Nor'easter. And when D mentioned how if one of them was to possible get hit by a car or something of the like, we could eat them... I was not completely devastated. Well, she says with an exasperated edge boy howdy do things change. Yesterday we were on our way to eat at a new Mexican Restaurant in town and on our way out the driveway, we see something large, black and feathery lying in our ditch. D backs up and says Well, so of a gun. It's Blacky. I did not then say, Well, guess we've got Sunday dinner for tomorrow! Then look at D and say What have you done to me? I see one of our helpless chickens dead and I'm thinking Sunday BBQ's with the neighbors! -- Definitely Not Me!

April 15th will be the death of me. I have not been doing taxes for over a month. Really, that would insidiously insane and stupid. D owns his own business and we clearly do not live in the dark ages because I did not have to go through every. single. receipt., separate them into categories, calculate all the totals, put them into baggies organize them, go through all the bank statements to get the rest of the info, enter it all into a spread sheet and hold for the big reveal... put everything into a shoe box for our accountant. Seriously. Who would use a shoebox to hold your tax documents do all that when you've got Quick Books (which he has, we just can't seem to figure out how to connect it to the bank account)? I'm a counselor! Not an accountant! Not Me!

Welp! That's another Not Me Monday! I'm sure there were lots of other insanely stupid crazy things that happened... but my mind is blocking them so I don't curl up in the fetal position and hide blocking them out!

HAPPY not me MONDAY!!
