Our Home In Pictures: Dining Room

First and foremost! THANK YOU SO MUCH for all of your incredibly kind comments!!! We do live in a really peaceful environment... We both work very hard and we love coming home at the end of our days --

Last week after I posted our outside, Mr. Realife asked why I didn't put up a picture of the whole house! I have no idea... so, here it is!

...I know you'll sleep better tonight :)

Ok... on with the Dining Room...

Standing on the back porch, this is what you see...

A look from our foyer
ignore the messy coat rack

The lighting... {sorry for the blurry pix}

When looking for dining furniture, we kept looking for a "set"
Our interior 'consultant' {because he did not design our interior}
Told us not to buy a set, but separate pieces that went with
each other -- Wasn't my cup of tea, but I'm getting used to it

Our table...

I love fresh flowers and like to get them when
they are half off at the store - they last about a week.

While it's not "matchy matchy" as my desire for
traditional design would like... I do love our server...

Inside our server, you'll find these really cool fish from Mexico...

The art you see leaning against the wall
was painted by a local artist my husband likes...
Who knew this southern boy had a modern side to him --
Clearly not framed the way we want, it has yet to be hung :)

And of course... this is what you'll see
when we forget our sweet baby on the porch
{yes... those are 'wet nose' streaks you see}

I think that's it! Next? Kitchen!!

It looks great. And don't even worry about the pictures that are not hung yet, leaning pictures are in style! I have two pictures frames that are leaning, waiting to be hung, but then I realized they look cool where they are.

Just pretend you meant for them to be like that :D

I say forget the house and post every pic you have of that adorable pup! Haha, Jackson leaves wet nose streaks on the car windows when we travel.

But seriously, adorable house! Love the fresh flowers..

I love your house :) I loved the first tour to of the outside. It does seem like such a beautiful area. I love the light fixture in your living room. I like a mix of traditional with kind of an americana feel, and I love mixing furniture that goes but doesn't match. So don't worry, I think your furniture is great. I love the server!

Hi, I'm a new follower and I adore your blog. I hope you don't mind me popping in!

What a beautiful house! I didn't
get a chance to comment on your last post, but it truly does seem like an enchanting location. I'd love to have a haven like that.

Your home seems very charming and peaceful. But I think my favorite picture is of that precious pup! That definitely makes the house complete!
