Not Me Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I would never lie renege on what I said earlier about doing a Not Me today and then secretly pull one out at the last minute -- Not Me!

As you may or may not have been reading... I've been working P/T at my Counseling agency since last July and have desperately wanted to go F/T for well, ya know, all those "benefits" -- I started today and I would never complain to my husband as I rolled over at 7:15 saying Why, oh why, did I want to be full-time! Isn't sleeping in on Mondays so much more "beneficial" than 2x's the pay and having insurance? This would be absolutely ridiculous, because I'm not a teenager and sleeping in is not a favorite past-time of mine -- Nope! Not Me!

For the love of God, why does this area get so excited about dust snow!?! I kid you not that the weather people scattered themselves out over a 45 mile radius to talk about nothing inform us about the flurries treacherous weather that is so dangerous -- I did not boycott all things weather man related get frustrated at D for even considering the prediction of snow this 20th 4th time around -- Not Me!

I do not love to be the center of attention sing -- So I auditioned for a musical at our local theater in town -- I got a part and I'm thrilled -- Being the responsible adult that I am, I've marked every date/time into my planner so to never miss a practice -- Yesterday, D and I were headed to the OBX Belk store {b/c they have stupid, crazy, insane sales right now} and D asked So when is your next practice -- I would never have forgotten that it was at 3 o'clock that day... not me -- I mean, I am a responsible woman and I would never throw commitments to the wind at the knowledge of a great sale -- Nope! Not Me! (we ended up going to the one in town and I got GREAT deals... more on that later :)

I did not receive two more amazing awards!

Thanks, Ms. Salti! You are ALWAYS so sweet and incredibly consistent with your comments! You rock!

Thank you, Once a Bride... I love this Friendship Award and consider it an honor to be called a friend!

OK! I'm not off to more work (boy has it been quite the morning already...) Be sure to check in tomorrow for "Tuesday Talk" -- We'll be talking about Going to Bed Angry thanks to a suggestion from Mrs. G (I don't have a link for her!) -- Well... I would never have this issue liar, right? The post we be solely for all of you liar, because D and I always have perfect communication liar, liar, pants on fire -- Um... et hem -- Not Me!

HAPPY MONDAY (again ;0)

Better Than the Golden Globes?

ABSOLUTELY!

First and foremost, I'd like to thank the little people all the wonderful people who read my blog -- Oh, wait... where's my mic!?

I digress.

Seriously, what am I to say? Three more awards...

I've seen this first award floating around and I'm ready to be completely honest because up until now I've fooled you all into thinking I'm a sane newlywed about my life -- Thanks, Twenty Something!!

1. I'm a b!t!c the day before my period. Period. I don't care if you're my husband or a client, I don't like you. Welcome to my hormones.

2. I love all things orange -- If I could drive an orange car, wear orange clothes and have orange curtains, I would.

3. I have more pet-peeves than I can count two pet-peeves: Things rolling around in my car when I'm driving and people who glamorize their life.

4. I love to write. If my job was to write 24/7, I would be one happy woman. Need me to write about you? Write your papers for money? I can be bought.

5. Even though my profession is Counseling, I have the worst habit of presumption -- I hate it. Others hate it. But I'm workin' on it.

6. I was afraid of boys in High School. Seriously. The first date I ever went on, I literally sat so close to the door, if you opened it, I would have fallen out.

7. I hate putting make-up on -- At age 31, I don't have much longer to reveal this skin without a mask. Please help.

8. I like funny. If you make me laugh, I like you.

9. I don't understand when people don't like me -- I like anyone who likes me everyone.

10. I love honest people. People who aren't honest are afraid of something... if you're not honest with me, be afraid. Be very, very afraid. ;0)

Miss Cellaneous over at Quarterlife Query gave me an awesome Award -- Seriously... this is a neat one -- Thank You, Miss Cellaneous!

The Prémio Dardos Award

"The Prémio Dardos is given for recognition of cultural, ethical, literary, and personal values transmitted in the form of creative and original writing. These stamps were created with the intention of promoting fraternization between bloggers, a way of showing affection and gratitude for work that adds value to the Web."

I love this award simply because someone believes that my blog adds value to the Web -- WOW! Thank you!!

Lastly... but oh, so not leastly (er... what?) -- Miss Cocaine Princess has given me with this award -- Her comments ALWAYS make me feel the feelings of a hug :) THANKS, CP!!

BIG HUGS TO ALL MY BLOG READERS :)

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Some Serious Lovin'

I'm am really behind -- I've had the most awesomest bloggers award me and I need to show the love right back --

I think this award is so fun... It's the New Year Award!! Thank you, SASKIA! I think by my post about New Years, I'm clearly a New Year LOVER!

Here are the rules.
  • You must be a true lover of the New Year to receive this award. The person to whom you give the award must also be in love with the New Year.
  • List 5 things that you love about the New Year. If you can't limit it to 5 things, then keep going till you run out of space.
  • Pass the award along to as many people as you like. That can be 1 or 50. It's up to you! But keep the New Year cheer going.
  • Let your recipients know that you have tagged them by leaving a comment on their site. Also, link back to the person who gave you the award.
My 5 Things:
  • I LOVE new beginnings
  • Everyone's refreshed from taking some time off
  • You finally stop to celebrate life
  • Motivation is high to make new goals and reach them
  • I happen to love January!!
I also received this Lemonade Award from Orchestrated Destiny and The Rambling Diva! This award is about having an Attitude of Gratitude -- There's a little saying I'd like to add to this...

When life hands you lemons, make lemonade... But when it hands you lemon rinds, make Lemon Meringue Pie --

My personal theory is there is nothing you face that you can't stretch further, learn, grow and effect others lives because of it --

THANK YOU LADIES!!

I'm not going to tag anyone because as we all know... it takes FOREVER to do that and I've gotta get ready for work! (just didn't want to put this off any longer!)

NOT ME MONDAY!!

Inspired by MckMama and her MSC*

First and foremost... I definitely do not have a very fun post stirring in my mind to tell you all about my traveling extravaganza -- And because I've been away for 9 days, I did not spend all of Sunday grocery shopping, doing laundry and cleaning whilst I wished dearly I could have been blogging :) B.U.T. -- I would never sneak in at least a half hour to read all of my sweet and amazing comments from the bestest bloggers ever ;0) It was like Christmas all over again... Nope! Not me!

Speaking of traveling, Dan and I did not drive 2,300 miles in 9 days -- We are not dreaming about seat positions, air conditioning adjustments and taking wrong exits, we are not thoroughly enjoying our own bed (er... uh... you know what I mean ;0) and as far as we know, we are not crazy -- Nope! Not Me!

I happened to drive our last 10 1/2 hour trek from FL to NC -- I insisted we listen to a Book on CD (I highly recommend these, by the way... your local library rents them for free) because it makes the time go by so fast -- Well... in conjunction with the fact that I was delirious from all the traveling, I was really into the story of this couple who lived in CA and when I saw a sign for NC, I was not confused as to why I did not see signs for CA, then have to shake my brain to remember where we were and where I was going and I definitely did not look at Dan to see if he noticed his wife was going insane... seriously. -- Nope! Not Me!

OK... I. love. comments. There... I said it. -- This is because I love to feel popular I love to know that what I am writing is either making people laugh, cry or just plain touching their hearts... When you're with yourself all day, you can tend to get a little bored by your thoughts, but then, there are comments... people who love your thoughts -- I say all that to say this... I was not totally blown away by everyone's incredibly sweet comments whilst I was away, I did not receive the most thoughtful Christmas e-card from Lyndsey and I did not receive another amazing award!!! Saskia over at Saskia's Spot -- I DO not LOVE YOU LADIES!!! Nope! Not Me!

This award is for those who show great Attitude and/or Gratitude! Thanks Saskia!

Look was Santa did not bring me!!!!

Seriously, folks... I'm. in. love. -- She is a Miniature Doxin (Dachshund) and her name is Elly Mae Coker (I know. I know.) -- This would never be my husband's attempt to do a trial run on kids and I am definitely not blowing his socks off with my mommy skills ;0) Nope! Not Me! (more about her later!)

It is not 7:06 a.m. and I am not begrudgingly thinking about work that starts in 1 hour and 54 minutes and I do not hate that I have to leave Elly Mae here without me! Why is it again that I work? Oh. right. So we can eat. OK. Better go... :)

NOT ME MONDAY!

Inspired by MckMama and her MSC*

It is absolutely not already 12:12 p.m. and I have not not done absolutely nothing but feed our farm animals, get dressed drink coffee and go over some designs for our living room with our interior decorator... Nope! Not me!

I did not spend all weekend doing 6 loads of laundry (in those new big washers) because I absolutely have not gone 3 weeks without doing laundry and my husband was absolutely not out of jeans and underwear (and maybe a few other things :)... Nope! Not me!

I did not fear being prego last week and buy 3 pregnancy tests because I do not have 6 friends who are having babies right now and was not fearing that I drank their water...(ugh) Nope! Not me! (and I am definitely NOT pregnant... like, for real)

I definitely do not need to get my arse up and clean out my car because it absolutely has not not been cleaned since, oh say... July and my husband is certainly not disgusted with it and he did not say he thinks there might be something dead in there... (did I just admit that on my blog?) -- Nope! Not me!

I did not win the Scribbler Award from Me! and I was not totally excited because I have not been noticing every other blogger getting this specfic award and I was not absolutely, secretly hoping someone would give it to me -- Nope! Not me! THANK YOU, ME!

I have not been totally overwhelmed with work because I'm working 3 jobs, and home, because we are always under construction and socially, because I still feel alone in this town... I absolutely am not being a victim and would never be looking for a little sympathy :) Nope! Not me!

I'm also, not late on reporting that I did not have the time of my life dressing up as a 70's chic for the children in our shelter -- and I did not cry as I heard one of them say Is all this candy for me? And I did not want to give them the rest of the candy I had -- Nope! Not me!

(compliments to my mom for making the outfit!)

I would NEVER be totally and thouroughly enjoying the fall and I did not completely enjoy photographing the fall leaves and our chickens whilst we landscaped our yard (OK, whilst Dan landscaped our yard) -- And I did not bake a pumpkin pie just for Dan because he loves them and I am not totally in love with my husband... just because -- Nope! Not me!
